New Affordable Housing Development
In 2011 a partnership of National Community Renaissance and The Related Companies received approval to develop a 30-unit affordable rental housing development on Newhall Avenue at the site of a former State park-and-ride lot. In 2014 the City Council approved partial funding and the donation of the City-owned land to the project.
The development will be owned and operated by the non-profit partnership and will have two-bedroom and three bedroom units. The City will not own or operate the development.
There is no interest list being kept at this time. The non-profit developers will open an interest list in Fall 2016. Rental rates and household income limits will be released at that time. Construction is scheduled to being in March 2016 and units may be available for rent as early as January 2017.
When more information becomes available or when an interest list is opened, a link will be published on this page.
