The Plan is near completion and will be presented to City Council on in September 2005..

An Arts & Theatre District is an area of a city set apart to foster an environment that enhances artistic endeavors of local artists in addition to becoming the focus for arts from all parts of the city. The Newhall Arts and Theatre District concept was planned with the vision for creating and developing a unique district that reflects the arts of the Santa Clarita Valley and celebrates the rich heritage and history of the Downtown Newhall area.
