What is Day for Kids? Boys & Girls Clubs of America, along with the support of other leading youth-serving organizations, are working to establish the third Saturday in September each year as Boys & Girls Club's Day for Kids. Over 5,000 organizations and over 1 million people celebrated America’s Day for Kids in 2005. Day for Kids Mission Statement: Created as a day to foster relationships between adults and children, the mission of Day for Kids is to establish a day “to celebrate and honor children through the gift of meaningful time with adults.”

Research shows that when adults spend meaningful time with kids it helps them develop a positive self-image and a sense of belonging, usefulness and purpose. Now, more than ever, Day for Kids provides adults and kids an opportunity to take a break from their busy lives and celebrate the wonder of life and the fulfillment of spending time together.

Day for Kids in Santa Clarita

Boys & Girls Club's Day for Kids in Santa Clarita will be coordinated by the Day for Kids Committee, which will consist of the City of Santa Clarita, Santa Clarita Boys and other local organizations.

Families will enjoy carnival rides, games, contests, crafts, entertainment, FREE Food and Drinks, and a Kids Raffle. Children will have an opportunity to win many great prizes!

Local organizations are encouraged to participate in the event by having a game or activity for children to enjoy. There is no cost to participate in the event. For participant information, please download the application.
