The City of Santa Clarita Arts & Events Office and the Santa Clarita Redevelopment Agency are working together to create an attractive, exciting, and economically vibrant Arts and Theatre District in downtown Newhall. In December of 2002, nine business owners on San Fernando Road partnered with the City to make space available in their businesses to display the art pieces during the month of December 2002.

The art works were to be constructed with materials from the business that made space for the artist. The project continued for a second year in December 2003.

The 3rd Annual Newhall Art Walk will be in October 2004 in conjunction with Arts & Humanities month.
