Building footprint information was originally digitized from March 1995 9" resolution aerials and updated from December 2000 9" pixel resolution aerials.

Fire Hazard Areas
This layer shows the areas of natural brush that represent a fire hazard as determined by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 1000 foot buffer zones around designated natural brush areas are also designated.

Flood Hazard Zones
The Q3 Flood Data are derived from the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS) published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The specifications for the horizontal control of Q3 Flood Data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:24000.For more information contact: Federal Emergency Management Agency

Seismic Hazard Zones
Seismic Hazard Zones were created by the California Geological Survey and show areas of liquefaction and landslides. For more information contact: California Geological Survey.

Parcel linework is updated twice yearly from information obtained from the Los Angeles County Assessor's office. Subdivision activity and lot line adjustments were updated by Los Angeles County Public Works based on recorded map information. For more information contact: Los Angeles County Assessor's Office.

Ridgelines were digitized from USGS Digital Raster Graphic maps and are intended to serve as a source of general information and are not appropriate for determining property level information.
