The Community Development Department consists of three divisions: Planning, Community Preservations, and Affordable Housing. Planning is tasked with short and long-term community planning. Economic Development strives to retain and attract employment and promote a viable and diverse City economy. Community Preservation maintains and assures the safety, appearance and value of buildings and property in the City. All three divisions coordinate with other City departments, the citizenry and those who do business in the community to help plan and sustain the Santa Clarita way of life.
