Our guest speaker for today will be Tom Carruth speaking on "New Rose Introductions for 2010 and Beyond." Tom is Research Director at Weeks Roses, a wholesale rose grower. Some of his well-known roses include Cinco de Mayo, Marilyn Monroe, Julia Child, Betty Boop, and the 2007 American Rose Society Members' Choice award winner, Hot Cocoa. Tom will give us a sneak preview of the new rose introductions for 2010 and beyond. We will feature a "Little Rose Show" during the meeting, and members may bring roses in vases to share. We will also have refreshments, a raffle, and a door prize. Those who bring refreshments or roses to share will get a free raffle ticket and a chance to win a potted rose plant. |
