  • Use reusable bags, Recycle Plastic Bags! To find the nearest location click here!
  • Buy your favorite products in larger containers - less waste is created by one large container than many small ones.
  • Choose products with less packaging, so there's less need for landfills.
  • When you purchase only one or two items, don't take a new bag.
  • Buy reusable containers to pack leftovers and school lunches.
  • Choose durable kitchenware instead of paper or plastic cups, plates, and utensils.

Healthy Cleaning

  • Try non-toxic cleaners. Use baking soda as an all-purpose cleaner or vinegar as a glass cleaner.
  • Choose powder bleach over liquid bleach.
  • Use cloth towels or rags instead of paper towels whenever possible.

Pest Free/People Safe

  • Keep ants out by following trails and sealing off entry points with tape, putty or caulking. Instead of using pesticides, wipe up ants inside with soapy water.
  • Boric acid is the least toxic poison available for effective, long-term cockroach control. Place in cracks, crevices, and secluded places where roaches hide, but use carefully and don't breathe the dust.

Safe Disposal

  • Recycle cans, bottles, paper - in fact, almost everything - through Santa Clarita's curbside recycling program. You can also redeem your recyclables for cash. To find a location near you, visit www.bottlesandcans.com or www.earth911.com.

Please dispose of these Hazardous Wastes at a Roundup near you or contact Curbside, Inc. at (800) HHW-PKUP.
