The City will be holding a workshop to assist property owners with information about the rebuilding process and offering guidance on how to proceed with plans for reconstruction and repair of buildings and structures damaged or destroyed by the recent Buckweed Fire and high winds of late October. The workshop is slated for Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 23920 Valencia Blvd., Santa Clarita, in the City Council Chambers
“We are inviting property owners and their insurance company representatives to ask questions and receive helpful information from the City about the rebuilding process, including permit requirements, reconstruction standards and codes, assistance for affected families, and other services the City can offer in to affected property owners,” explains Robert Newman, Public Works Director for the City of Santa Clarita.
City staff from Building and Safety will be available to answer frequently asked questions about the process and the requirements for rebuilding a house or repairing damages. City representatives from other departments and divisions will also be present to offer pertinent information about related services that are of interest to the affected property owners.
