“The toddler years are an important time in a child’s life for the growth of social and developmental skills,” commented Recreation Coordinator Glena Kristensen. “The City of Santa Clarita believes that each child deserves an opportunity to enhance theses skills, so it offers a list of events and activities for children through the recreation division,” she said.

The “Tots on the Go” program promotes education through fun and will allow children, along with their parents, to broaden their horizons with new experiences.

Each week, class will meet at a different field trip destination in and around Santa Clarita. This class will provide children with the opportunity to develop social and language skills while making new friends.

Classes are every Friday beginning Friday, January 25, 2008 through March 14, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The cost of the class is $71. Parents are responsible for their own transportation to the field trip site and siblings not enrolled in the class will not be allowed on trips. A copy of the child’s birth certificate must be submitted with registration form.
