CITY’S S.C.O.R.E. PROGRAM PROVIDES YOUTH WITH
Recreational Program Supported by Community Donations

The City of Santa Clarita encourages residents to give back to the local youth this holiday season by donating to the S.C.O.R.E. Program, which stands for “Supporting Children’s Opportunities in Recreational Events.” This community program relies solely upon the generous donations of City residents and businesses. It is these contributions that enable S.C.O.R.E to provide more than 100 annual scholarships to local underprivileged youth, allowing kids to enjoy the City’s many parks, recreational classes, and sports leagues.

City residents and businesses interested in contributing to the Program can do so on the City’s website or upon checkout at the City’s new online store at santaclaritacitystore.com.

“The S.C.O.R.E. Program fills a great need in the community and through the donations received, provides Santa Clarita Valley youth who may not be able to afford it, the opportunity to participate in numerous recreational programs,” said Rick Gould, City’s Director of Parks and Recreation.

S.C.O.R.E. helps Santa Clarita’s youth set personal goals, escape from the daily stresses of life and spend time with family and friends.

For more information on the S.C.O.R.E. Program or to make a donation, please visit the City’s website at santa-clarita.com or call The City’s Parks and Recreation Division at (661) 250-3700.
