CITY WARMS UP TO CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SPORTS COMPLEX

The City of Santa Clarita is celebrating the Sports Complex’s 10th anniversary this Saturday, December 20. The only entry fee required to attend this exciting community event is a minimum of one non-perishable food item per person, which will be donated to the Food Pantry to help others during the Holiday season.

The event, held at the Sports Complex, begins at noon and will end at 4 p.m. In addition to a number of activities, contests and prizes, guests can enjoy playing giant sized games of inflatable basketball, inflatable soccer on adult-sized tricycles and more. Food will be available for purchase from Lamppost Pizza for attendees who are sure to work up an appetite from all the action.

The Santa Clarita Sports Complex is a multi-phase, open recreation facility that provides local residents with quality sports activities at an affordable price. The gymnasium houses two basketball courts, which convert into volleyball and badminton courts, two squash courts and an aquatic center. Residents can also sign up for interim sports, camps and clinics at santa-clarita.com/seasons.

The Sports Complex Gymnasium is located above the Aquatics Center at 20870 Centre Pointe Parkway. For additional information on the Sports Complex, please contact Dianna Boone, Recreational Services Administer at (661) 250-3711 or visit santa-clarita.com.
