The City of Santa Clarita WorkSource Center will host its first monthly Job Fair on Tuesday, September 8 at the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center. Registration for the event begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and the workshop will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot.
The WorkSource Job Fair is designed to assist community members in their employment search, linking them directly with local prospective employers. Job Fair attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resume and dress professionally.
“In this down economy, the country has seen unemployment numbers reach record proportions and millions of Americans are currently out of a job,” said Mayor Frank Ferry. “The City’s monthly WorkSource Job Fair provides a centralized location for employers and job-seeking community members to meet and discuss employment opportunities.”
Finding new employees through the Santa Clarita WorkSource provides an increased chance that the new employee will qualify the business for Enterprise Zone tax credits which can reduce or eliminate the state income tax the business is required to pay.
