CITY’S GRAFFITI TASK FORCE TO DEMO NEW PAINT MATCHING TRAILER

The City of Santa Clarita’s Graffiti Task Force invites residents to view a demonstration of its new Paint Matching Trailer on Wednesday, September 30 at 2 p.m. City Graffiti Task Force staff will use the Paint Matching Trailer to match paint on a wall of a private residence, located at 27231 Crossglade Avenue.

The City’s Graffiti Ordinance states that property owners must remove graffiti on businesses and residences within seven days from the date when properties are tagged. The City’s new Paint Matching Trailer will enable the Graffiti Task Force to provide paint matching services to local property owners, which will expedite the required removal of graffiti on private property.

“Previously, when a property was tagged, residents were required to match and provide the paint needed to cover tags in compliance with the City’s Graffiti Ordinance,” said Mayor Frank Ferry. “With the new Paint Matching Trailer, community members can put in a call to the City’s Graffiti Task Force, who will then come out to the residence to match and provide the amount of paint needed to cover graffiti at no cost to the property owner.”

The City’s Paint Matching Trailer will be used to assist private property owners with paint matching for prompt removal of graffiti and will also be used to facilitate neighborhood beautification projects.
