This month, the City of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station launched the City of Santa Clarita Business Alliance program.
Coordinated through the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station and its Business Relations Office, the new City of Santa Clarita Sheriff's Business Alliance program will utilize department personnel and station volunteers to assist in maintaining a database, outreach to our business community, sending out frequent communications, and facilitating the various business training programs.
“Our goal is to provide our City-based businesses with a high level of law enforcement support, including programs and services that prevent crime and help keep our business districts safe,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.
Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Sergeant, A.J. Rotella will serve as the City’s Business Relations liaison.
Sergeant Rotella will focus on the alliances between the City, the Sheriff’s Department, and local businesses to develop crime prevention programs, training classes, outreach, and networking with the overall goal of keeping the city and its businesses safe.
Training programs will include: auto theft prevention; personal safety awareness; drug awareness; drugs in the workplace; violence in the workplace; robbery prevention; bank robbery training; fraud prevention; loss prevention; and commercial security surveys.
