Keep track of what’s in your medicine cabinet, and prevent drugs from getting into your kid’s hands. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, first-time drug abuse among 12- to 17-year-olds is dramatically increasing. Many of these cases start when kids experiment with over-the-counter and commonly-prescribed medication that are within their reach.
