A: The City parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close 10:00 p.m.
Q: Is a Moonbounce allowed at the park?
A: Yes, but only with a Facility Reservation Permit. The Moonbounce Company will have to supply the City with a copy their General Liability Insurance coverage and a copy of their contract with you. They will also have to provide a generator for your moonbounce.
Q: Why is insurance needed? Doesn’t the City already have insurance?
A: Yes, the City is insured, but only for City sponsored events. When renting City facilities your special event is under your control, and you will be responsible for any damage or accidents that occur.
Q: Where can liability insurance be obtained?
A: You can call your insurance agent and ask for a policy naming the City as Certificate Holder and additionally insured. Or you can purchase insurance through the City of Santa Clarita’s insurance program.
Q: Are pony rides and petting zoo’s allowed at the park?
A: No. The only animals allowed in parks are dogs, and they must remain on a 6-ft leash at all times.
Q: Is a reservation needed for a picnic area?
A: No, unless you are having a moonbounce, dunk tank, stage, generator, etc. However, a reservation booked at least two weeks in advance will guarantee an area for you.
Q: Is a facility attendant mandadatory?
A: Facility Attendants are mandatory for all outdoor reservations with a moonbounce, large group, or special event.
Q: Is the public allowed to bring their own barbeques to the park?
A: Yes, at designated parks, as long as your barbeque is UL listed.
Q: Are weddings permitted at City parks?

Q: Is alcohol allowed at any City park?
A: No alcoholic beverages may be brought to or consumed in any City Park including the parking lot.
Q: Can I drive my vehicle onto the park to deliver heavy items such as tables, chairs, or barbeques?
A: No unauthorized vehicles are allowed on any City park site at any time. All items must be carried on to the park site.
