In 1998, the City of Santa Clarita built it's first skatepark which was well received and gained the respect of skaters of all levels, from beginners to professionals. Community skaters and BMX cyclists enjoyed showing off their slick moves at the popular 12,000 square foot facility for ten years.

On November 17, the "old" skatepark hosted it's final set of wheels and skaters in preparation of the Highly anticipated 40,000 square-foot new Santa Clarita skatepark.
The City of Santa Clarita is investing approximately $1.5 million to build the new skatepark located at the City's Sports Complex in the Canyon Country Area.

The City's new state-of-the-art skatepark, already being touted as one of the best skatepark destinations, will feature large bowls, a Street Plaza, Half-Pipe Tunnel, Snake Runs, Skate-able Planters and much more!
