
1. Have neighborhood cookouts or BBQ in your front yard!
2. Begin neighborhood "vacation watch" or Citizen Walk Patrol.
3. Host a block party.
4. Begin a S.E.C.U.R.E. neighborhood emergency readiness program.
5. Create neighborhood resource list and share talents (i.e., teacher, handyman, historian, artist, carpenter, babysitter, computer guru).
6. Offer to be the "carpooler" or "shopper" once a month for your neighborhood!
7. Create safe house program!
8. Strike up a conversation with others in line at the grocery store.
9. Sit in your front yard and say hello to passersby.
10. Recognize people for good works: most helpful neighbor, best yard, etc.!
