The mission of the Cultural Affairs Office (CAO) is to promote, support, and develop arts and culture for the benefit of citizens, arts organizations, and artists in the City of Santa Clarita.

The Office provides leadership and infrastructure, is a liaison to local arts organizations, develops arts policy and procedure, and creates partnerships with the arts and non-arts sectors. It markets local artists and organizations, coordinates City arts grant programs, and enhances art education opportunities in public schools. The CAO produces and presents performing and visual arts events, advocates for federal, state, and local funding, administrates the art in public places program and provides opportunities in granting, board development, marketing, and fundraising.
