Other Removal Agencies

The City of Santa Clarita Graffiti Removal Staff removes graffiti in the public view on City Property within the City of Santa Clarita. Graffiti incidents outside of the City’s jurisdiction are forwarded to the appropriate agencies.

  1. Graffiti outside of city limits in the unincorporated parts of Los Angeles County is handled by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. To report graffiti within unincorporated Los Angeles County (Castaic, Stevenson Ranch, Val Verde, etc.) please call (800) 675-4357 or go to www.ladpw.org
  2. Graffiti located on freeways (Interstate 5 or State Highway 14) are handled by the California Department of Transportation. To report graffiti on a freeway sign, sound wall, or overpass please call (213) 897-0383 or www.dot.ca.gov. Turnaround time for graffiti removal on freeways is approximately 3 days.
  3. Graffiti on abandoned buildings or on construction sites is handled by the City of Santa Clarita Community Preservation Division, and may take 7-10 days for removal. Please call (661) 286-4076 to report graffiti.
  4. Graffiti on private property such as a homeowner's fence or business are the responsibility of the owner to remove. The City ordinance requires property owners to remove graffiti within 7 days. Graffiti on private property may be called into the hotline and the request will be forwarded to the owner.
  5. Graffiti on Southern California Edison utility boxes is removed by AES Property Services.  Graffiti on Edison utility and transformer boxes may be reported on their toll free hotline: (866) 421-4688 or by email at graffitihotline_aes_sce@yahoo.com.
  6. Graffiti on Time Warner utility boxes will be removed by Time Warner maintenance staff.  Their turnaround time for removal is approximately 3 days.  Members of their technical operations group can be contacted with removal requests at:
