The Soledad Canyon High Desert, California Public Lands Conservation and Management Act of 2011 (S. 759) is legislation introduced by Senator Barbara Boxer, (D-Calif).

This legislation is potentially the last chance to amicably end a 12 year dispute between the City of Santa Clarita and CEMEX USA (CEMEX) over a sand and gravel mine the company proposes to operate in Soledad Canyon. S. 759 would require the Bureau of Land Management to cancel CEMEX’s right to mine at the contact site in Soledad Canyon and ensure CEMEX is fairly compensated.
