AMGEN Tour of California, 2008
America's most successful cycling race, the Amgen Tour of California, is an eight-day “rolling festival” through California that has in its first two years already become one of the nation’s largest and most recognized annual sports events. This international, world-class cycling road race features elite 
professional teams and athletes from around the world competing for the highest prize purse of any cycling race in North America. The Amgen Tour of California will bring the drama and excitement of a professional cycling stage race to the California coast for a third year in 2008, along with complementary events and festivals planned in each of the host cities along the route.
**VIEW STREET CLOSURE INFORMATION**
Saturday, February 23
11:00am - 4:00pm (events along McBean Pkwy.)
Experience the thrill of world class cycling as riders race into Santa Clarita en route from Santa Barabara. Racers will enter Santa Clarita between 2:30 and 3:30 and sprint along a three lap ciruit ending in the Stage 6 finish along McBean Parkway. Award presentations and ceremonies will immediatley follow the finish of the stage.

The Stage 7 start provides a unique fan experience as Amgen Tour of California riders will be available for autographs and pictures at “Rider’s Alley” prior to opening ceremonies. Opening ceremonies will include dignitaries, a color guard, the singing of the National Anthem and a vintage aircraft doing a single jet fly-by. Cheer on riders as they head out of Santa Clarita en route an historic finish in Pasadena!
