Walk of Western Stars

The Walk of Western Stars, sponsored by the City of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, was originally organized in 1981 by the Downtown Newhall Merchants' Association to honor the legends of Western film, stage, television and radio who have contributed to America's heritage since 1900. The Old West comes alive again each year when Western stars are immortalized in bronze and terrazzo tile on the streets of Old Town Newhall.

The 2002 Walk of Western Stars Gala Awards Ceremony and Dinner will be held on March 22, 2002 in the Long Branch Theater at Melody Ranch. Entertainment will be provided by the Sons of the San Joaquin, Johnny Western, Belinda Gail and Wildwind, and emcee Mickey Dawes.
This year's Walk of Western Stars Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to visit the Cowboy Festival gear show vendors before the show. Gear Show vendors will be open at 6:00 p.m. for a preview and purchase of their wares.
