Local cyclists celebrated the City’s 30 miles off street trail system and “Hit the Trail” with Mayor Bob Kellar and professional cyclists competing in the upcoming Amgen Tour of California. The ride ended at Bridgeport Park where atendees met racers who will participate in the 2008 Amgen Tour of California later in February, right here in Santa Clarita.
Once at Bridgeport Park, community members had the opportunity to buy Road to the Cure raffle tickets benefiting the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and the Amgen Breakaway for Cancer. Prizes include signed memorabilia from top names in Nascar and the world of cycling as well as great sporting equipment.
