ONE VALLEY, ONE VISION is a joint effort between the County of Los Angeles, the City of Santa Clarita and Valley residents and businesses to create a single vision and guidelines for the future growth of the Valley and the preservation of natural resources. This project will only be successful with the active involvement of the residents and businesses of the Valley through every phase of the effort.

The result of this project will be a 20+ year General Plan document and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the entire Santa Clarita Valley Planning Area (PDF Map). The Planning Area (PA) includes the County communities of Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Val Verde, Agua Dulce, and the future Newhall Ranch; it also includes the City of Santa Clarita and its four communities Canyon Country, Newhall, Saugus and Valencia. Day-to-day implementation of this General Plan, based on the Guiding Principles, will be administered by both the City and County for lands within their respective jurisdictions.

This ONE VALLEY, ONE VISION project will result in greater cooperation between the County and the City, better planning for resource management, and an enhanced quality of life for all who live and work in the Santa Clarita Valley.
