What is it?

Nixle Alert sends you messages from the City of Santa Clarita, the LA County Office of Emergency Management, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Headquarters Newsroom and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station. 

How do you receive alerts?

You may choose to receive alerts by text and/or email.

Sign up for Nixle Alert

What is it?

Alert LA sends you emergency messages from the L.A. County’s Emergency Operations Center. The information you receive is specific to your address/neighborhood registered. 

How do you receive alerts?

Alert LA uses the telephone companies’ 911 database and is able to contact land-line telephone numbers, whether listed or unlisted. Since cell phones are not automatically included,  it is also important to register your cell phone.  Multiple cell phone numbers can be included for each address.

What's the difference between Nixle and Alert LA?

Alert LA links specific addresses to the alert/notification, while Nixle is a general city emergency alert that may or may not be specific to your area of residence.

Alert LA County system uses geomapping, each telephone number and/or e-mail address can only be associated with one street address in the system.
