There is always something going on in the City of Santa Clarita. Whether it's music in the park, a unique art exhibit, a national cycling tour, or outdoor recreation, the City entertains thousands of residents and visitors each year. Seasonal events are our specialty, from the Cowboy Festival in the spring, Concerts in the Park in the summer, to Thursdays@Newhall in the fall, and the Santa Clarita Marathon in the winter. So grab a friend or your family and get out and explore Santa Clarita’s year-round calendar of fun for everyone!



Year Round

10 by 10

Date: 1st Thursday of the month * 7 p.m.
Location: The MAIN
Witness the talent of the Santa Clarita Valley at 10 by 10 Variety Night at the MAIN. Every first Thursday of the month, 10 talented performers take the stage for 10 minutes each with performances of comedy, poetry, film, magic, and more!

 

You're the Best

: 4th Thursday of the month * 7 p.m.
Location: The MAIN
You think you’ve got talent? Prove it at You’re the Best, an outrageous and ridiculously fun talent show hosted every fourth Thursday of the month! The competition is open to all experience levels and ages. Each winner is chosen by the audience and has a chance to return at the end of the year to compete in the grand finale. 


Farmers Market

Location: Old Town Newhall Library
Enjoy fresh and organic local products at the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market! In addition to fine produce, there will also be live performers, food artisans, and more.

 Youth Art Showcase

The City of Santa Clarita celebrates Youth Art Month by hosting the 2020 Youth Art Showcase at the Centre. This free event gives students of the Santa Clarita Valley an opportunity to showcase their talents through performance or display of their artistry.

All are welcome to attend the Free to be Me Music Festival at the Centre! There will be live entertainment, arts and crafts, storytelling, dancing, and more. Admission to the event is free!

Let the egg hunt begin! The Santa Clarita Eggstravaganza will hold the family-friendly egg hunt on Saturday, April 11 at Central Park. The event is free and open to kids 10 and under.



Cowboy Festival
Date: Saturday, April 18 & Sunday, April 19 * 10 a.m.
Location: Old Town Newhall
The 27th annual Santa Cowboy Festival is set for April 18 and 19 at William S. Hart Park in Old Town Newhall. For more than 25 years, this community event has rounded visitors from across the country to experience the best in cowboy music and culture. This year, the 2020 Cowboy Festival will feature new, first-time events and returning fan favorites to provide a unique glimpse into Santa Clarita’s own Wild West past. Join the ride at the City of Santa Clarita’s Hit the Trial community bike ride! This non-competitive, guided bicycle ride explores the many trails of Santa Clarita with a full 9-mile route or a short, 4-mile route. This event is free and open to the public.

Bring on summer vacation with the City of Santa Clarita’s Summer Bash in Canyon Country. Luther drive will be transformed into the perfect beach getaway full of live music, delicious food trucks, a beer garden, and fun family activities. 

 

Fourth of July Celebration

Location: Newhall Park – Old Town Newhall – Westfield Valencia Town Center

Celebrate Independence Day all day long in Santa Clarita with a series of events hosted throughout the city, including:

4th of July Run: Kick off the day with the Independence Day Classic 5k or 10k run/walk! This fun, quick, and flat route is welcome for all individuals who want to get some exercise in before the festivities begin.

4th of July Parade: What’s an all day celebration without a parade? Put out your lawn chairs and enjoy the memorable procession that includes horses, floats, classic cars, and more!

4th of July Fireworks: Finish off the day with a spectacular show of luminous lights in the night sky of Santa Clarita. Grab a comfortable seat in the nearby Westfield Valencia Town Center and enjoy the show!


Concerts in the Park

Jam out to an electric line-up of new and familiar acts, including award-winning tribute bands playing classic tunes. This free concert series is sure to liven up your summer nights.

Ghost and ghouls are abound at the Haunted Jailhouse! Tour the terrifyingly spooky Sheriff’s station decorated by the SCV Boys & Girls Club, enjoy delicious food trucks, fun music, and costume competitions. 




SC Marathon

Location: Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall
The 25th annual Santa Clarita Marathon is an annual multi-race event that leads racers through the beautiful scenery of the Santa Clarita Valley. The City of Santa Clarita invites the community to attend a special Veterans Day Ceremony to honor local veterans, currently-serving military, and families of those in service. The ceremony includes musical performers, speakers, and changing of the flags.

Unique gifts, custom creations, and more are abound at the Fine Craft Show! This free, outdoor event features more than 50 artist booths with locally made specialty crafts. Spend the winter day browsing hand-crafted jewelry, paintings, pottery, and more.

Location: Main Street – Old Town NewhallCome one, come all to Old Town Newhall to kick off the holiday season! This Christmas event sparks the holiday spirit with festive dances and musical performances from local musicians. The lights officially turn on around 6:30 p.m. and transform Main Street into a winter wonderland adorned with thousands of lights and a 23-foot Christmas tree.
