Seasonal events are our specialty, from the Cowboy Festival in the spring, Concerts in the Park in the summer, to Senses Block Party in the fall, and the Santa Clarita Marathon in the winter. Witness the talent of the Santa Clarita Valley at 10 by 10 Variety Night at the MAIN. Every first Thursday of the month, 10 talented performers take the stage for 10 minutes each with performances of comedy, poetry, film, magic, and more!

You think you’ve got talent? Prove it at You’re the Best, an outrageous and ridiculously fun talent show hosted every fourth Thursday of the month! The competition is open to all experience levels and ages. Each winner is chosen by the audience and has a chance to return at the end of the year to compete in the grand finale.

Enjoy fresh and organic local products at the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market! In addition to fine produce, there will also be live performers, food artisans, and more.

The City of Santa Clarita celebrates Youth Art Month by hosting the 2020 Youth Art Showcase at the Centre. This free event gives students of the Santa Clarita Valley an opportunity to showcase their talents through performance or display of their artistry.

Let the egg hunt begin! The Santa Clarita Eggstravaganza will hold the family-friendly egg hunt on Saturday, April 11 at Central Park. The event is free and open to kids 10 and under.

The 27th annual Santa Cowboy Festival is set for April 18 and 19 at William S. Hart Park in Old Town Newhall. For more than 25 years, this community event has rounded visitors from across the country to experience the best in cowboy music and culture. This year, the 2020 Cowboy Festival will feature new, first-time events and returning fan favorites to provide a unique glimpse into Santa Clarita’s own Wild West past. Think green at the City of Santa Clarita’s Earth Arbor Day celebration! This eco-friendly event is held in conjunction with Earth Day and focuses on improving environmental awareness. Participate in fun activities that will promote the commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Join the ride at the City of Santa Clarita’s Hit the Trial community bike ride! This non-competitive, guided bicycle ride explores the many trails of Santa Clarita with a full 9-mile route or a short, 4-mile route. This event is free and open to the public.

Santa Clarita’s Patriotic Pee-Wee Parade
The City of Santa Clarita is excited to announce our first Patriotic Pee-Wee Parade! All are encouraged to design and build a miniature parade float, then capture a photo of it to be shared in an online photo gallery. Submissions will be voted on in a variety of categories, with prizes going to the top mini floats! Show off your patriotic, innovative and fun mini float creations in one of our most memorable Fourth of July parades yet. Fourth of July Patriotic Tour
The Fourth of July Patriotic Tour challenges businesses and residents to see who can create the best, most patriotic Fourth of July display in Santa Clarita! Decorate the front of your home or your store window between now and the Fourth of July with Americana for this special twist on the traditional SCV Fourth of July Parade. Participating residents and businesses will submit a photo of their display online and a panel of judges will determine the winners. Independence Day Virtual 5K/10K
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and in the interest of public safety, the annual Independence Day Classic Races put on by the Santa Clarita Runners on the Fourth of July have been canceled. However, the City of Santa Clarita and Santa Clarita Runners are partnering to bring the yearly 5K and 10K races to participants virtually for free! Runners will be able to complete the distance – 3.1 miles or 6.2 miles – anywhere they choose over the Fourth of July weekend (July 3-5). Once a runner has completed the race, he or she will submit the finishing time through Active to be scored after the event. Learn more and register by visiting the Virtual 5K/10K webpage.

The 25th annual Santa Clarita Marathon is an annual multi-race event that leads racers through the beautiful scenery of the Santa Clarita Valley. The City of Santa Clarita invites the community to attend a special Veterans Day Ceremony to honor local veterans, currently-serving military, and families of those in service. The ceremony includes musical performers, speakers, and changing of the flags.

This Christmas event sparks the holiday spirit with festive dances and musical performances from local musicians. The lights officially turn on around 6:30 p.m. and transform Main Street into a winter wonderland adorned with thousands of lights and a 23-foot Christmas tree.
